OFFICIAL PILLSBURY'S "VOTE FOR AMERICA'S FAVORITE RECIPE" SWEEPSTAKES RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
SWEEPSTAKES TIMING:
Pillsbury’s “Vote For America’s Favorite Recipe” Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00 p.m. C.T. on January 7, 2008 and ends at 11:59 a.m. C.T. on March 31, 2008 (“Sweepstakes Period”).
HOW IT WORKS:
100 finalists were previously determined in the 43rd Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest and will be posted on www.bakeoff.com (“site”) during the Sweepstakes Period. Consumers will be encouraged to visit the site and vote for their favorite recipe. The Finalist whose submission receives the highest number of eligible visitor votes by the conclusion of the voting period will be awarded the “America’s Favorite Recipe” Prize at the Contest Finals in Dallas, TX on April 15, 2008. In the event of a tie vote, the recipe receiving the higher total score from the judging panel during the Contest Finals will receive this Award.
HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES:
You must be a current member of Pillsbury.com and a Pillsbury e-newsletter subscriber to enter. During the Sweepstakes Period, to enter the Sweepstakes, go to
www.bakeoff.com
and register to become a member of pillsbury.com and subscribe to the Pillsbury e-newsletter by filling in all required information. Once you have registered, (or have logged in if you are already a member and e-newsletter subscriber), you can vote for your favorite recipe. There is a limit of one vote per person. In the event that more than one vote is cast from a single entrant, all votes from that entrant will be eliminated. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your on-line service will apply. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of such automated devices or programs will cause disqualification. Sponsor and its advertising agencies are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or stolen entries or transmissions. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entry.
RANDOM DRAWING:
The Sweepstakes Finalist will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The drawing will be conducted on or about April 2, 2008, by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Odds of being selected as the Sweepstakes Finalist depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The Sweepstakes Finalist will be notified by e-mail/mail on or about April 16, 2008.
GRAND PRIZE DETERMINATION:
ONE (1) SWEEPSTAKES GRAND PRIZE: $1 Million, awarded as a $1 Million annuity, payable as $50,000 a year for 20 years (Estimated Retail Value $1,000,000). If after the 43rd Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest Grand Prize winning recipe is selected, it is confirmed that the Sweepstakes Finalist had voted for the Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest Grand Prize winning recipe, then the Sweepstakes Finalist will win a $1,000,000 annuity, payable as $50,000 a year for 20 years (ERV $1,000,000). If the Sweepstakes Finalist did not vote for the Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest Grand Prize winning recipe, or in the event that the Sweepstakes Finalist voted for a recipe that did not compete in the Contest or was disqualified for any reason (at the discretion of the Sponsor), then the Sweepstakes Grand Prize will not be awarded, and the Sweepstakes Finalist will receive a $500 coupon redeemable for GE appliances and merchandise at the website shop4ge.com. (Access to shop4ge.com is limited to site users granted authorization and is not open to the general public.) GE coupon is issued by General Electric and is redeemable only for merchandise purchased at the website. Coupon subject to the following terms and conditions. The coupon cannot be redeemed for cash, is non-transferable, and may not be used with another GE coupon, discount or promotion. Retail value of prize is approximately $500. Determination will be made by an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
Total Approximate Retail Value of Prizes available to be won in the Sweepstakes: $1,000,500.
Prizes are nontransferable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made. All taxes, fees and surcharges on prize are the sole responsibility of winner.
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to legal United States residents, residing in one of the 50 United States or District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older as of January 7, 2008. Employees of General Mills, General Electric Company, The J.M. Smucker Company, Eggland’s Best, Land O’ Lakes, Inc., John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc./Fisher® Nuts, Domino Foods, Inc., Don Jagoda Associates Inc., Yahoo Inc., Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, or any other sponsors of the Contest or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, or any promotion, advertising, judging or public relations company doing business with any of the above, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, or a member of the immediate family (parent, children, siblings, spouse, regardless of where they live) or people who live in the same household of such employees (whether related or not) are NOT eligible. Finalists in the 43rd Bake-Off® Contest can vote for their favorite recipe, but are ineligible for the Sweepstakes. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited or restricted by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. This promotion is intended for viewing in the United States only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to United States laws. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not a legal resident of the 50 United States or D.C.
GENERAL RULES:
Potential Sweepstakes Finalist will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and where legal, a Publicity Release within forty-eight (48) hours of notification attempt. Noncompliance within this time period or if prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, will result in disqualification and another winner will be selected in the place of the disqualified person at random from all eligible entrants that voted for the same recipe as the disqualified person. By accepting the prize, Finalist agrees that the Sponsor and those acting under the Sponsor's authority may use Finalist's name, picture/portrait likeness and/or voice, for advertising and promotional purposes without further consideration, unless prohibited by law. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which will be final.
BY ACCEPTING THE PRIZE, THE FINALIST AGREES THAT THE SPONSOR, ITS SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, AND ALL OF THE SPONSOR'S OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND WILL BE HELD HARMLESS BY WINNER FOR ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH, AND PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES OR PRIZE RELATED ACTIVITY.
All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and none will be returned. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes), Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and award Sweepstakes Finalist Prize from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation or termination. Sponsor also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest, sweepstakes or website, or violates the Official Rules. Sponsor will replace a disqualified Sweepstakes Finalist with an alternate who voted for the same recipe. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND ANY OTHER AVAILABLE REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND SUCH PERSON SHALL BE SUBJECT TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

The Sweepstakes Finalist's name will be available at the winner link at www.bakeoff.com, on or about April 22 to August 24, 2008.
